Rules of entry

By submitting an entry, you confirm you have read and agree with these Terms and Conditions and understand these now apply.

The ISTD International Typographic Awards are open to design studios, agencies, consultancies, and individuals.

Students (on full or part-time courses) are not permitted to enter these Awards.

ISTD International Typographic Awards are open to countries worldwide.

Work entered must have been produced/launched/published between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023 to be eligible for entry.

Work must be submitted via our online platform.

A fee of £125 (£95 ISTD members and early bird entries) must be paid for each entry.

The entry submission deadline is Wednesday 14 February 2024. Entries may be edited up until the point of submission. Entries will not be considered fully submitted until payment details have been entered. Once submitted, entries are confirmed and non-refundable.

Payment for entries must be cleared by midnight on Wednesday 14 February 2024. Once payment has been received, your entry (or entries) will be passed to the judges for review.

Multiple entries can be made into the same category.

If entries are submitted on behalf of clients by other parties, ISTD will assume client approval has been secured by the entering party. If any issues arise concerning client sign-off once the entry has been submitted, no refund will be given.

All credits must be supplied when entering online. All information provided at the time of entry will be used to credit published work; however, ISTD reserves the right to amend your copy in order to adhere to editorial style where appropriate. If necessary, this information may be condensed or edited. ISTD accepts no responsibility for incorrect information provided.

Any entry may be withdrawn for any reason up until midnight on Wednesday 14 February 2024 upon written request to the awards@istd.org.uk; however, all entry fees paid are non-refundable.

ISTD will assume that all entries are original and are the works and property of the entrant/client the work is submitted on behalf of.

For judging purposes, there is a maximum limit of 20 images per entry.

The maximum upload size for an entry is 50mb

Where websites and moving image (animation, film) form part of an entry, please ensure any URLs, access details, usernames and passwords needed for judging are supplied, that they work, and that they will continue to work for six months from the entry deadline.

The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any entry.

All entrants will be notified as to the status of their entries after judging is complete.

All entrants grant ISTD the rights to reproduce submissions both digitally and in print.

ISTD will not be held liable for any action or claim arising out of the reproduction of entered works in whatever format.

Entries including more than one piece of work must ensure that those items submitted are related and are part of the same project. Unrelated pieces of work submitted as one entry will be disqualified until each piece is paid for individually. Should you want to remove this entry no refund will be given.
